30hr Yoga Nidra Teacher Training
Yoga Alliance Certified | 30 YACEP Hours | Friday 9th - Sunday 11th January 2026
This is your invitation to dive deep into the profoundly healing art of Yoga Nidra, the ancient practice of conscious rest that holds the key to calming your nervous system and guiding others into profound states of relaxation and awareness. Join International Yoga Teacher Sandey Hoskin and explore the scientific principles that underpin Yoga Nidra and learn how to integrate this practice into your teaching or personal wellbeing routine.
What is Yoga Nidra?
Yoga Nidra means yogic sleep, but it’s not about falling asleep. It’s a meditative experience performed lying down where the body rests completely while the mind remains gently alert. In this liminal space between wakefulness and sleep, deep layers of the subconscious become accessible.
This is where old patterns dissolve.
This is where your Sankalpa - your heartfelt intention - takes root.
This is where profound healing begins.
Yoga Nidra works with the body’s own rhythms, shifting the nervous system out of chronic fight-or-flight and into a state where the mind can rest, emotions recalibrate, and clarity emerges.
Designed for:
Practitioners across the wellness spectrum, this training is suitable for yoga teachers, movement therapists, psychologists, social workers, coaches, medical professionals, bodyworkers, and anyone committed to supporting the wellbeing of others through transformational practices. You don’t need a 200-hour yoga teacher training to join this course, just a genuine interest in guiding others into deep rest and awareness.
What you'll learn:
You’ll gain a deep, embodied understanding of what Yoga Nidra is and why it works. You’ll explore its psychological, physiological, and energetic foundations, as well as the frameworks that make it such a powerful healing modality.
Discover the Kosha Model, five interconnected layers of the self from the physical body to the bliss body and learn how to guide people through them using language, imagery, and awareness. This is not abstract theory. You’ll practice and feel this in your own body.
Explore Marma points, subtle energetic gateways rooted in Ayurveda that connect the physical body to pranic flow. Learn how Yoga Nidra activates and balances these points to regulate the nervous system and enhance vitality.
Study the four states of consciousness, waking, dreaming, deep sleep, and the transcendent and learn how Yoga Nidra allows you to gently navigate them with presence and purpose.
Develop your ability to write, deliver, and adapt Yoga Nidra scripts for different needs. Whether you're supporting anxiety, sleep issues, trauma, or simply helping someone slow down, you'll have the language and sequencing tools to do so with confidence.
Understand how to open and close sessions with clarity, intention, and mindfulness, and learn the power of Sankalpa, a sacred internal resolve that anchors transformation.
This course is both experiential and theoretical. You will learn by doing, by resting, and by teaching.
You will also complete five hours of self-study before receiving your certification, helping to ground your knowledge and refine your personal relationship with the practice.
Why is this training different?
This is a small, intimate in-person training. You’ll receive personal guidance, thoughtful feedback, and the opportunity to connect deeply with fellow wellness professionals from a variety of backgrounds.
The training is trauma-informed, inclusive, and grounded in both tradition and science. It’s designed to be accessible whether you're brand new to Yoga Nidra or looking to expand your toolkit in a clinical or holistic setting.
It’s a space where deep rest is not a luxury but a priority. Where your nervous system gets to exhale. Where you come home to your own breath, body, and being.
And this is the only Yoga Nidra training of its kind in Manchester. You won’t find another that combines accredited certification, and a uniquely crafted blend of experiential and professional development in the field of conscious rest.
